Dreaming of a world-class education in Ireland? While many students look toward the Emerald Isle, the visa process for Bangladeshi applicants is highly sophisticated. To succeed, you must present yourself as a financially solvent and genuine candidate.
At Marca Communication, we’ve seen that the difference between an approval and a rejection often lies in the details of your financial evidence. Here is the exact roadmap for a successful self-application.
Step 1: Choosing Your University and Location
Your journey begins with selecting the right institution. While you can study in any state in Ireland, Dublin remains the top choice for international students because it is the capital and holds the highest volume of part-time and graduate job opportunities. Before applying to the university do check the critical employability status of the country, with that you will be able to have a clear view that whether the course you’re studying will help you to gain your PR after five years later or not. Once you apply and receive your Unconditional Offer Letter, you move to the most critical stage: Fees payment.
Marca Pro-Tip: Most universities will tell you a 50% deposit is enough. Do not follow this. To prove your solvency to a strict Visa Officer, you must pay 100% of your first-year tuition fees. Showing that you have already cleared your major financial obligation significantly reduces the risk of a visa rejection.
Step 2: Preparing Your Financial Evidence (The 50 Lakh Rule)
Since the Irish Embassy in New Delhi handles all applications for Bangladesh, your paperwork must be flawless before it is couriered. The Visa Officer wants to see “Ready Cash” for your accommodation and living expenses.
Requirement: A minimum of 50 Lakh BDT in a Savings Account.
- Sponsor’s Bank Statement: (Father or Mother) showing transactions for the last 6 months.
- Bank Solvency Certificate: Must explicitly confirm the 50 Lakh balance or more to be in the safe side
- Visa Application Letter: A letter to the Visa Officer confirming your balance and stating that these funds are readily available for withdrawal.
Important Note: Fixed Deposits (FDR) are generally not accepted. The money must be in a Savings Account to show it is liquid and accessible.
Step 3: Proving the Source of Funds (Land Sale)
The safest and most successful way to explain a large bank balance is through the sale of land. You must document this transition of assets through a lawyer and have everything notarized. I am adding the documents what needs to be notarized and what not.
Mandatory Documents for Land Sale:
- Sale Deed: (বায়না দলিল / বিক্রয় দলিল) – Must be notarized.
- Land Tax Receipt (Khajna): Recent and notarized.
- Land Valuation: A formal valuation from a CA (Chartered Accountant) firm.
- Certified English Translation: All Bengali deeds must be translated by a professional.
- Proof of Deposit: Bank records showing the exact proceeds from the sale entering the account.
- Source of Funds Letter: A detailed explanation of your financial history.
Crucial Warning: Do not make any large, unexplained deposits or withdrawals in the months leading up to your application. This is a red flag that leads to immediate rejection of your visa application.
Step 4: Sponsor Evidence and Income from Property
If your family earns a regular income from house rent, this provides excellent “proof of ties” and ongoing financial strength. The Irish Embassy does not want to see that you’re selling everything for your studies. They also want to see that you have sufficient fund left for your family to lead stable and financial life.
Sponsor Evidence:
- Signed Sponsorship Letter.
- Proof of Relationship (Birth Certificate – Notarized).
- Sponsor’s NID (Notarized).
House Rent Documentation:
- Ownership Proof: Notarized property documents.
- Rental Receipts: For the last 6 months.
- Bank Statements: Clearly showing the rental income being credited each month.
- Rental Deeds: Notarized lawyer evaluation.
- Tax Documents: TIN Certificate and TIN Assessment papers for the last 2 years.
Step 5: Final Submission
Once your file is ready, Apply via AVATS and fill the visa application form—including your Police Clearance and your personal Visa Application Letter along with the files that are mentioned in the upper sections. It is ready for the cross-border process. You have to send it via courier service like DHL or FedX or you can try contacting with some agency that will take your files to Irish Embassy New Delhi. Remember, there is no direct Irish Embassy processing in Bangladesh; your dreams are decided in New Delhi, so your “Paper Visa” file is your only voice.
